EAClogo The computer engineering undergraduate program is accredited by the Engineering 认证 Commission (EAC).

The program educational objectives state that, within three to five years after graduation, computer engineering graduates are expected to:

  • successfully participate in the computer engineering related professions.
  • progress through advanced degree or certificate programs in engineering and other professionally related fields.
  • will advance to positions of leadership, greater responsibility and intellectual challenge.

Graduates of the computer engineering program will have 能力:

  1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
  2. apply engineering design to produce 解决方案 that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, 经济因素.
  3. communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  4. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering 解决方案 in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
  5. function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
  6. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
  7. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.

计算机科学

CAClogo The computer science undergraduate program is accredited by the Computing 认证 Commission (CAC).

The program educational objectives state that, within three to five years after graduation, computer science graduates are expected to:

  • Be employed in professional practice in which they apply principles of computer science to solve complex problems.
  • Consistently communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and with persons from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
  • Consider the ethical, societal, and global impacts of computing in decision making.
  • Actively pursue professional development through training programs, graduate-level education, or active membership in professional societies.

By the time of graduation, students in the computer science program will attain an 能力:

  1. Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify 解决方案.
  2. Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.
  3. Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
  4. Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
  5. Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.
  6. 应用 computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based 解决方案.

信息技术

CAClogo The information technology undergraduate program is accredited by the Computing 认证 Commission (CAC).

The program educational objectives state that, within three to five years after graduation, information technology graduates are expected to:

  1. Work as an information technology professional utilizing core competencies in the creation, maintenance, and use of computers, computer networks, and computer systems.

  2. Continue learning through pursuit of professional development through training programs, graduate-level education, and/or active membership in professional societies.

  3. Communicate and collaborate effectively in a professional information technology environment with customers, colleagues, and all levels of management.

  4. Understand, articulate and deal with the ethical, societal, and global issues associated with the design and use of technology in society.

By the time of graduation, students in the information technology program will attain 能力:

  6. Use systemic approaches to select, develop, apply, integrate, and administer secure computing technologies to accomplish user goals.
